Buhle Goslar is a fintech leader advancing technology solutions for customer empowerment and inclusive economic growth.
She is the Chairperson and Independent Director of Lula, an SME-native neobank; a Board Director of Aceli Africa, a platform mobilising capital to boost agricultural finance; an ExCom member of CGAP, the World Bank's financial inclusion think tank; and a strategic advisor to several leading tech startups.
Previously, Buhle served as CEO for Africa & Pakistan at JUMO, a Banking-as-a-Service fintech backed by Goldman Sachs (2018) that achieved a $400m valuation with investments from Fidelity, Visa, and other prominent investors (2021).
Her 20+ year career includes leadership roles in commercial strategy, product development, marketing, customer intelligence, and sustainability at top financial institutions such as Woolworths Financial Services, Barclays Wealth, and Investec Private Bank.
A Certified International Retail Banker (RBI), Buhle holds an Executive MBA from the University of Cape Town's GSB, a PGDA in Tourism from the University of the Witwatersrand, and a BCom in Marketing from UNISA. She has also completed advanced programs in Inclusive Finance, Digital Finance, and Social Impact at Harvard Business School, The Fletcher School at Tufts University, and Oxford Saïd Business School.
In 2019, Buhle was recognised as one of South Africa's Inspiring Fifty Women in Technology. She is a prominent advocate for inclusive finance and was honoured with the 2021 Accion Claugus Award for Advancing Financial Inclusion.
